A man from Chicago, who was only walking by the sidewalk, has been assaulted and left injured early Saturday morning

CHICAGO, Illinois — In the early hours of Saturday, a man was attacked and shot in The Loop.

The 27-year-old victim was walking on the sidewalk in the 100 block of East Wacker Drive when a group of people approached him and began to beat him, according to the Chicago police department. The incident occurred just after one in the morning. After that, someone in the gang produced a firearm and shot him to death.

According to the police, the victim was found to have a gunshot wound to the head when they arrived at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. According to the report, he was in healthy condition.
