A 37-year-old Nebraska resident was injured in Sunday afternoon shooting in Omaha, report

Omaha, Nebraska – Sunday afternoon shooting in Omaha resulted with one person injured and hospitalized with gunshot wounds, the local police department confirmed.

According to the Omaha Police Department, a 37-year-old man was shot and injured around 4:45 p.m. Sunday at the North Omaha Transit Center which is located at 30th and Taylor, next to the OPD Northeast Precinct.

The Omaha Police officers responded at the scene following a 911 call about shots fired and man being shot and injured.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they easily located the shooting victim and he was treated at the scene. He was transferred to hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries in stable condition and is expected to recover.

Omaha Police Department didn’t provide the identity of the victim and didn’t release more details about the shooting incident.

As of now, there are no suspects and no arrests were made.
