45 goats have been deployed to Big lake Park to clear out the brush

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — Seasonal four-legged employees in Council Bluffs have returned to work.

In the spring, 55 goats were used to clear brush from Tom Hanafan Rivers Edge Park.

The city was impressed with their achievements. Consequently, 45 goats have been released at Big Lake Park.

In the coming weeks, they will clean 4,9 acres of brush and overgrown areas to improve the northern side.

It will provide for more vantage points and easier trail access in the park.
