44-year-old Iowa clerk was sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree theft
SILVER CITY, Iowa – A city clerk in Iowa was found guilty of theft and sentenced to a decade in prison, multiple reports say.
According to the Mills County Attorney, Artema Gray, 44, was sentenced to ten years in prison by Judge Davidson on Monday after pleading guilty to first-degree stealing.
Gray served as the municipal clerk for Silver City, Iowa, which is located to the northwest of Glenwood.
In Iowa, theft in the first degree is a class C felony for thefts valued at over $10,000.
