43-year-old man from Lincoln was arrested after trying to rob a grocery store on Friday, police
LINCOLN, Nebraska – Employees at a grocery store in the downtown area restrained a man who, according to the police, attempted to rob them.
On Friday afternoon about four o’clock, the Lincoln Police Department reported that officers were sent to the vicinity of Goodhue Boulevard and F Street in response to a report of a robbery in that area.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department learned that a guy had entered the business La Ilucion, which is located near the intersection of 13th and F Streets, threatened the employees there, and then fled the building with the cash register.
The two employees who sought to intervene in the situation inside the store both received minor injuries, as reported by the police.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LPD), more staff members followed the man and restrained him for the police between Goodhue and F Street.
The man, who was 43 years old, was detained and put to jail once he was apprehended. He is accused of committing the crime of robbery.
The cash register and all of its contents, according to the police, were located and brought back to the establishment where they had been stolen.
