According to a statement released by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Eliza Fletcher, 34, was running on Central Avenue in Memphis at 4:30 a.m. when she was coerced into entering a vehicle of a dark hue that was a sport utility vehicle.
According to the police report, Fletcher had on a purple pair of running shorts and a pink jogging top at the time. She stands 5 feet and 6 inches tall, weighs 137 pounds, has brown hair, and green eyes.
The police have issued a grainy photo of an SUV that is wanted in connection with the kidnapping, but they have stated that they have no evidence as to the direction the vehicle traveled.
The phone belonging to Fletcher was discovered discarded in the area, as reported by the Memphis news station WREG.
Fletcher’s friend, Hart Robinson, was the one who relayed this information to the station. He said, “We don’t know what’s going on, but everybody is anxiously looking for her and the police here are on it.” “As you can see, there is a lot going on; therefore, if you have any information or witnessed anything early this morning, we kindly ask that you come forward with it.”
